O “Satellite Awards” é um prêmio oferecido pela Academia Internacional de Imprensa, que prestigia os melhores do cinema, da TV e muito mais.  Neste ano o grande destaque foi a série estreante “Glee” , com destaque para a indicação de Jane Lynch para melhor atriz coadjuvante. Outro destaque importante foi a indicação do ator John Noble, o Walter Bishop de Fringe, como melhor ator coadjuvante, já que o excelente ator tem sido negligenciado em vários premiações, mesmo sendo um dos melhores atores da TV na atualidade.
